2nd worldmeeting 2024 – September, 28th – 30th

In Fall 2024, the World Network of Professional Lay Ministers will gather, this time virtually, for our second world meeting. We will welcome new members, share personal experiences of synodality, and work collaboratively to compose and send a letter to the second synodal assembly in Rome. The focus is on our role as non-ordained but professional workers. Our sessions will unfold in three stages. In the opening session (Sept 28-30) we will utilize the synodal listening process to break open the four themes of Communion, Participation, Plurality, and Empowerment. During the second, editorial session (Oct 1-7th), the Network’s editorial group will synthesize the product of our discussions into a draft letter to the participants in the second session of the Synod on Synodality. Our final session will convene on the 8th of October to approve and sign the letter to be sent to synod participants.
